Real Estate Law encompasses a vast array of legal principles and regulations that govern the acquisition, ownership, and transfer of real property. In a rapidly changing market, it is crucial to have a solid understanding of these laws to navigate the complexities of real estate transactions with confidence and protect one's interests. Real Estate Law is recognized by the legal community as being comprised of no less than 27 separate areas. The complexity of Real Estate Law demands that the practitioner be experienced and well educated. The Florida Bar Association offers its members “certification” in several areas of the law, the attainment of which signifies to the public that the attorney has risen to a higher level of recognition among attorneys in Florida in that chosen area. Real Estate Law is one of those recognized areas. In order to become “certified” in a recognized area of the law, an attorney must pass a rigorous exam as well as continue to attend seminars in their chosen area of specialization. Keith A. Ringelspaugh attained Board Certification in Real Estate Law in 1994 and has been continuously recognized at that level ever since.
